Why I Think About Pi

I like the kind you eat, and the pi that's the 3.14 number. I woke two morning ago with a very different type of query. I had pi on my mind.. and it was not the kind you eat.The Pi R-squared equals the circumference of a circle.
I was in a sleep-wake state as I was trying to rationalize what makes a perfect circle. Pi keeps on going forever, so the circle could keep on getting more circular? That makes sense does it not?

Now this fact from wiki, I found way fascinating..
1) the value of π has been computed to more than a trillion (1012) digits
2) a value truncated to 11 decimal places is accurate enough to calculate the circumference of a circle the size of the earth with a precision of a millimeter, and one truncated to 39 decimal places is sufficient to compute the circumference of any circle that fits in the
observable universe to a precision comparable to the size of a hydrogen atom.
