A trip to the Zoo

In the spirit of adventure and for something new to do, I talked my family into taking a trip to the city zoo.

What was supposed to be a fun family trip to Lincoln Park Zoo, turned into somewhat of a downer.

The enthusiasm for exotic animal watching that I came to the zoo with was not the way I left the zoo at the end of the zoo trip. I left saddened, as if a part of me had died. OK, so I exaggerate just a little.

As I watched the otters and seals swimming so playfully in their cozy tanks, it hit me that these wild animals are held captive in tanks when their real homes do not limit them to such confines. I guess I am no stranger to that caged feeling.

Now, it's not like the concept of a zoo is new to me. No folks, I have lived a little and know about how animals in the zoo works.

One of the first wild creatures to catch my attention was the lion. A royal, tenacious and masculine, King-of-the-Jungle, leader of the pride, with a fierce lion mane lion. As if there are other kinds. The King of the jungle behind bars seemed so against mother nature. A beautiful creature he was and inhabited a cage with what looked like his lioness and a little one that must have been their cub. I was magnetized by his regal beauty.

This zoo trip left me with nothing but greater admiration for the animal kingdom but a bitter distaste for human beings and the world I live in.

We went wandering into the Primate home and spent a good while observing a family of gorillas, behind a tightly secure glass case of course. I have never felt the feelings I felt after watching the apes interact or shall I saw mostly ignore the audience of at least 50 sets of eyes upon them. I was in amazement at how these animals live this way and saddened by the human condition at the same time.

The gorilla home was packed today. Children of all ages watched and some pointed at the naked animals on display as if they were...well, animals. I did not see a single protest against the unfair treatment of animals at this city attraction.

So disheartening. How do I go about this?

I am fully aware that zoo's raise funds and awareness which in turn provide safer habitats for endangered and wild species. However, I am appalled at why we humans cage animals and bird into confinements for our interest and display. My issue is not just with zoo's but with the captivity and displacement of wild animals in general.

If animals spoke English, they would certainly demand fair treatment and justice and to be returned to their natural habitat. Why should animals be forced into a life of imprisonment for crimes they never committed?

A letter to Her Majesty

Just learned that one can address their concerns, comments, grievances, or whatever thier hearts desire to Her Majesty, the queen itself by email or post.
Write to the Queen

I learned this as I was watching a Royal Family documentary and felt it necessary to write to the Queen's royal staffers. Maybe they will pass along this message.

Dear Your Majesty,

I acknowledge your honor and the charity work that you do, however, as an outside observer, I have a bone to pick with you.

I question your integrity as I watch you adorn the Kohinoor diamond and I am confused about your principles. I do not understand how you could allow yourself to accept coronation jewels that your ancestors and relatives robbed from India. How can you uphold the honor of being a queen while adorning stolen jewels?

You should be ashamed of yourself Queen, the head of the British Monarchy.

The characteristics of a queen include an individual of the highest caliber and morals. You, however, do not represent those things to me and the many others who are aware of the history behind the royal jewels.

It is a shame that you wear stolen jewelry. An honorable queen would reject jewels that were obtained under such pretense and declare before the world that she is returning valuables that do not belong to the Royal Family.

I encourage you to do the right thing Your Majesty and then, maybe then, the image you present to the world would more closely match the principles you should uphold.

With Regards,

CK

4th Picture Fun

I was 4th picture tagged by Bianca. Not bad, all fun!
Bianca, I'm so glad it was an acceptable photo. Yes, you know.

The object of the picture tag is to:

Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer.

Select the 4th picture in the folder

Explain the picture

Tag 4 people to do the same

NO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

The crab on sand picture was the 4th photo I took on Day 1 of this all girls trip to Playa Del Carmen. Ah, sweet sandy memories. :)

Good times! Sorry, I can't tag 4 people because I don't think there are that many visitors on my blogspot.

Coco Mademoiselle

The song to this commercial is catchy! It's Joss Stone singing L.O.V.E. and I find myself humming to it at odd times.
Keira Knightley is one stunning British babe although she can't afford to skip any more meals.

Human Kind

I smiled at this lady at a party where I saw many new faces. I wanted to do more. Maybe take the time to befriend her.

I did not, assuming my intent could be misperceived on the receiving end. I did not want her to mistake my friendliness as an offering of pity.

But I did want to know about her. How she got to this place and what had made her become this way. How does she make it through a day? What must her secret life be like. I wanted to know, yet it did not matter. I just wanted her to feel her self-worth.

She made me feel the rage against this world.

Environmentally Friendly Way to Enjoy Fire

Duraflame claims that significantly fewer pollutants are emitted than a comparable wood fire when burning one of their firelogs. I know you're all asking; how is that possible?

They light faster and burn more completely than firewood and less material is burned when using a firelog.

Further, their firelogs use 80% fewer resources to produce a cozy 3-4 hour fire than burning firewood and made with all renewable resources.

Not only is the fire warm and toasty, I am helping out the environment and my air quality. I like these logs for its resourcefulness and ease to light but I don't see them selling wood fires out of business.

Fires made from wood are very nice and have their own sight, sound and smell to delight in. Also, you really can't beat the convenience and availability of firewood in the great outdoors.

Christmas Wrapping the Eco Way

It's a simple idea really. Maybe I too could have come up with. Instead of throwing away remnant cloth, use it to wrap gifts.

Take cloth, wrap around gift, tie cloth ends together and viola! Gift is wrapped and has an added touch of elegance and uniqueness.

Check out this website for other great recycling tips, facts and cool info. Recycle Now.

Great UK based website! I had no idea you could recyle hearing aids and other common household items like TVs, garden wastes and engine oil.!

Lakeshore Run

Mapped a cool route along Lakeshore Drive yesterday and set out for the run around 9:15am. The temperature was up to around 38 maybe 40 degrees. The first mile actually felt a lot longer than a mile. Had to stop at Dunkin Donuts on Lawrence for a quick facility check. What nice people! They allowed me to walk through their kitchen and into the back to get to the employee only restroom. Now that's what I call midwest hospitality. :)

Graceland Cemetery appeared interesting and I was very looking forward to checking this landmark out. It was a little disappointing when I run up to Montrose to encounter a tall brick wall along the park parameter obstructing any view of a cemetery.

I enjoyed the nice and wide sidewalk on this stretch though. To make up for the brick wall, on my way back I couldn't resist the urge to sprint in my Asics tights that makes me feel like a streamlined runner. I'm aware that is delusional thinking. :)

It was a great run! The view of the harbor was amazing. My favorite view was of the South Lagoon. So BLUE! I turned around to run back when I reached the boat docking area at the La Salle Dr intersection. It was easy to get lost in my thoughts here while taking in the calm view of the lake.

There's so much to do here! So many people out running and so many places to run around. My next run in this city will include Hyde Park neighborhoods and south shore too.

Stay overnight on a tree

This is awesomeness!

A recent inquiry for 'Adventure Adviser' ..

Where in the United States can I stay overnight in a tree?

Adviser answers at the base of Mt. Rainier in suspended 2-storey pods. The pods or spheres are constructed using old cedar or spruce trees and either suspended 200 feet above ground on large, straight conifer trees or placed inside larger maple or oaks trees. Observation deck access available from each tree house via a 500-pound steel bridge.

A tree lover, aah I can already invision myself turning off the lights at night in my sphere bed and floating in the canopy among the sleeping birds. And not just any bird! Spotted owls and bald eagles!

"The two-level treehouse spans 16 by 16 feet, and can accommodate up to five people. From above the treeline you can enjoy views of the Sawtooth Ridge peaks while spending the night with spotted owls and bald eagles. A glass-enclosed observation deck sits on the fourth floor, complete with a hammock for swinging above the trees. With Mount Rainier National Park just ten minutes away, you'll probably feel like exploring beneath the canopies for a while. Hike up to High Rock Lookout, the last manned lookout in the Packwood Ranger District, where you'll get clear views of Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams."

This sounds like a dream and I want to live it! Oh how this makes me want to live in a tree!

There's more! Here is the website for Free Spirit Spheres in Qualicum, BC, Canada. Woweeee!! This is very exciting! Check out the guest comments page. I just love how they post the guests comments in its original form.

Busse Woods Loop

It was a sunny and clear day with a slight chill in the Schaumburg, Illinois air. I flew into the city this afternoon to hang with the family for thanksgiving. The plane flew past the city, then circled over the great big Lake Michigan shore before finally landing over 20 minutes ahead of scheduled arrival time.

The mood was somber among the members of my family but the thought of how unaffected the rest of the people I had encountered today on my journey through DFW to O'Hare lingers.

It was 8:45am when I first heard the news break over TV's in the passenger waiting area to departure gate. Over 100 casualties were known thus far in the Mumbai terrorist attacks at the Taj Mahal Hotel. Gasp! I was curious if the story broke in time to hit the print journal media. I walked to the nearby news stand to find a front page story in The New York Times. USA Today and Dallas Morning had not caught wind.

I remember ooing and awwwing over the magnificence and elegance of the Taj Mahal hotel during my first visit to Mumbai in 2004. The thought that this part of the world will go on to eat turkeys, say thanks and likely remain unaffected, maybe even unaware is a little disturbing to me.

I wondered about the lives that did not get a chance to florish or leave behind the contributions they had hoped for. I was relieved to learn that my younger cousin, currently a 3rd year Medical student at Grant Medical College of Mumbai was not near the financial district.

There was this vacant feeling in my heart but I managed to save an appetite for mothers cooking. I ate as if I had not eaten a decent meals in days. That probably is not far from the truth. I ate till my hearts content. I really should have waited longer after the feast but I had to get going before darkness set in.

I wanted to map this Saturday's 12 mile run along Lake Shore Drive on this site and decided I like the idea of documenting and sharing my running routes.
I am now an official free member of mapmyrun.com

Here is the map from today's run at Busse Woods in the Forest Preserve.
It was a very pleasant run and definitely woodsy and preserved. I even saw elks. There were restrooms along the route but they were locked!! What's the deal?

Why does my heart feel so bad?

Why does my heart feel so bad?

I am touched.

Here are the lyrics in its entirety.

Why does my heart
Feel so bad?

Why does my soul
Feel so bad?

These open doors

These open doors? Which doors? What about the closed doors?

I like the simplicity of the words. The repetitive sound structure is rather gripping. Listening to this song does not make me feel bad, it made me want to create my own 'Why does my heart feel so bad'. I thought of few things....

Suffering, loss of childhood innocence, cruelty and brutality to animals.

Why does my heart
Feel so bad?

Why does my soul
Feel so bad?

Cruelty and suffering

Times

My first 19 mile long run in 2008 was this past Saturday. It was fun chatting it up with the girls...well, I did most of the talking. They don't seem to mind really. And hey Q, our conversations are not boring! Aside from formulating a plan to solve world hunger, we got into a lighter discussion on the latest technological innovations in eliminating pantylines. This led to more insight and sharing on seamless panties and the pros and cons of medium versus less coverage.

Keeping in the tradition of most long runs, I forgot something vital that I had come to rely on as my running necessity. The forgot the Amino Vital! There was no need to panic, just needed an immediate plan B. Turns out, I don't really need them. Although I won't be forgetting them for the next run, I survived on regular carb gel and have not died as a result!

My younger sister Ragini just passed the yoga boards and has now become a certified yoga instructor. I'm proud of her for following her passion. This reminds me of the time last year when she ran a half-marathon on her treadmill. Hey, we are not all outdoor people! My folks have got to be surely proud that all three of their children have cultivated some legal and productive hobbies! :)

So, to offer some sibling support, I will go to a class. I'm having a hard time figuring out how I will attend a class she teaches since She only teaches one 9 am class on Wednesdays. Yes, and that is it! That's a great job but how do you pay the bills?! :)

Lost in Translation

Not only do I LOVE this song, I love Rekha in this movie! She is a legendary Bollywood actress and indescribably captivating in this film. One of her best roles no doubt. There is no movie like the original Umrao Jaan. :) Sorry, Aishwarya fans.

BUT the subtitles to the song in this YouTube video are for a lack of better words...A Disappointment!! Who translates this stuff!?! Puleassee! You are ruining one of my favorite songs!!

Understandably, there are no words in the English language that can fully capture the meaning and nuances of many Hindi words like Dil or Jaan but the subtitles here do NOOO justice to my song.

It makes me ponder on how words capture meanings. What if a language does not have a word to describe an intangible verb? Does that mean the speaker cannot fully comprehend the feelings that other languages have came up with terms for? Perhaps, but I'm open to opposing views.

When I hear the Hindi word Dil, I scan for words in the English language and the first word that comes to mind is desire, then longing. Even still, neither of those words fully capture the essence of Dil. Even more difficult to translate is the word Jaan. Jaan is just jaan, to me, but it provokes a feeling that can only be described by the word Jaan. It cannot be described by words such as lifeline, soul or heart. It's simply necessary to have listened to these words and have used them in its proper context to appreciate its true meaning.

I am fortunate and thankful that my mother tongue is Hindi. I have an appreciation for the language like only a mother-tongue speaker would. I get offended when words from the language I know and love are obliterated and translated to represent a meaning that does not capture the true essence.

My disapproval to the subtitles led to research. I found a website offering a more approving translation to the lyrics. I hope that non-Hindi speakers too can appreciate this melody and the meaning behind the lyrics even a fraction of what I do.

Aa aa aa aa, aa aa aa
Dil cheez kya hai aap meri jaan lijiye - 2
What is the heart; take my life
Bas ek baar mera kaha
Just one time, what I say
Bas ek baar mera kaha maan lijiye - 2
Just one time, heed what I say
Dil cheez kya hai aap meri jaan lijiye
What is the heart; take my life

Is anjuman mein aap ko
In this gathering
Is anjuman mein, aah, aah aah aah
In this gathering
Is anjuman mein aap ko
In this gathering
Is anjuman mein aap ko aana hai baar baar
In this gathering, you have to come time and time again
Aana hai baar baar
You have to come time and time again
Deevaar-o-dar ko gaur se
The walls and doors, with concentration
Deevaar-o-dar ko gaur se pehchaan lijiye - 2
You recognize the walls and doors with concentration
Dil cheez kya hai aap meri jaan lijiye
What is the heart; take my life

Maana ke doston ko nahin
I understand that friends don't
Doston, doston ko nahin
Friends, friends don't
Maana ke doston ko nahin dosti ka paas
I understand that friends don't supervise one another
Lekin yeh kya ke gair ka

But is it so that
Lekin yeh kya ke gair ka ehsaan lijiye - 2
But is it so that you take favors from a stranger?
Dil cheez kya hai aap meri jaan lijiye
What is the heart; take my life

Kahiye to
If you say so
Kahiye to aasmaan ko
If you say so
Kahiye to aasmaan ko zameen par utaar laaye
If you say so, I will bring the sky down to the ground
Mushkil nahin hai kuch bhi
Nothing is difficult
Mushkil nahin hai kuch bhi agar thaan lijiye - 2
Nothing is difficult if you firmly pursue it
Dil cheez kya hai aap meri jaan lijiye
What is the heart; take my life
Bas ek baar, bas ek baar
Just one time, just one time
Bas ek baar mera kaha maan lijiye
Just one time, heed what I say
Maan lijiye, maan lijiye
Heed it, heed it

Full Moon Magic

I am hoping for some moon magic.

The past week has been a hectic chain of events originating from one thing, which led to another and got the rock cascading in a path alternate to my plans. Without getting into the nitty gritty details; my social life had to suffer a bit but it's looking back on track now.

I went for an evening run earlier and the full moon did not disappoint. He, She, maybe It or simply THE moon was magnificent and radiating in all its glory. I'm not any physicists now, BUT I do believe that full moons impose a greater gravitational force than lesser moons. And aren't they gorgeous?! Could that be the reason why I was gliding away so swiftly on my feet this evening? Maybe it was the extra reserve from the rest and relaxation these past few days or the new shoes.

I got the very necessary sleep I required this past weekend and led the pace group on our 17 mile training run Saturday. The group was smaller this week but we all stuck together through the bathroom and stretch breaks. I run with some remarkable women. We frequently end up smoothing out life's problems in stimulating conversations during our runs. Gotta love the girl-talks too ;) I heard very good advice regarding ice baths and stretching. One of these days.. I'll be better about it :)

The rest of the weekend was somber and laid back. Met up with friends at The Belmont patio on Sunday for the evening skyline view of Dallas to go with some drinks and food. It's always nice to view the city skyline from this hidden more tucked-away part of town.

Unfortunately, I could not make it out to the Plano Pacers Prediction run this evening as I had so hoped for :( I was bummed because I had to take a final exam during that time which was horrendous btw. I can't wait to see my grade. Dang it! If only it was a prediction exam! :) Bianca did excellent in her prediction and even came out with a win! A red ribbon for her efforts.

In other news, I couldn't resist staying up past my bedtime again last night. I caught the last bit of the Charlie Rose interview with Bill Maher and Larry Charles on Religulous. Charlie Rose had other 'experts' to counteract the views of Maher and Charles and it made for an interesting debate. It has certainly got my attention. I'll try and watch it sometime this weekend.

TDF 2008

I wasn't going to let my total of two fans hangin' by not blogging about TDF. Hehe! I got some encouragement from my running buddies this past Saturday that my TDF pics look HOT. They used words like race posters!

I'm flattered but wonder if they are just humoring me. Either way, I like that I have fans :D

So, here is photo approaching kilometer 18.
I'm kookoo for running with my ipod. It's my favorite race song Shut up and Drive from my girl Rhianna.

Kilometer 18 point something..

It was fun to come out of race hibernation! It really got me thinking about how much I enjoy running and participating in races. My favorite part is sprinting to the finish! This was my third TDF and so I've had a past with this event. I finished a few seconds faster than last year at 1h55:56 and suppose that made my day.
Here are the official race results: http://www.tourdesfleurs.com/

I found Lisa at the beer garden after the race. What a fun day to have crazy adventures through the Arboretum after a 20K race and a beer buzz.

Lisa wrote more about it on her blog. http://lisaawes.wordpress.com/ Lets just say it makes me wonder if you linger too long at after-race beer gardens, that you will eventually stumble into beer-buzzing random runners that politely ask you to pose in their photos.

Just wanted to point out that I became a fan of the race beer sponsors Stampede Light. It only took one sip and of course I was in. I didn't know right then that I'd be drinking so many. I indulged in a few more as it's bad manners to pass up good cold and free race beers served by very nice people. Lisa was not far behind. In fact, I think she was a beer ahead.
Anyhow, I wish I had more pics of the beer garden event but it didn't occur to us that while we were being directed to pose in pictures by random dudes that we also might want to capture that awkward moment.

I have fond memories though, so it must have been a sentimental day.

On side note...this might confirm that I need to work on my beer gut a little but I guess I'm not ashamed of my chubbiness:p

Not today but maybe next week.

Nothing eventful

I've had some problems logging on to this site, i.e. fallen behind lately with blogging.
Not a whole lot has inspired me in the last week or so except for the feds radical plans to "bail-out" the financial depression. Hmm...stayed tuned for more.

I'm doing research on how the financial crisis will impact me. But for now, tons of work to get done. I just got a massive breather after finishing up part I of the group project in my 8 week Financial Accounting course. We are already into the 7th week and I have no idea why the time flies so fast!! This means final next week! Oooo, I know it. :) I'll be a good girl and do my studying on time.

Rainy Run and a very nice weekend

I've been wanting to write in my blog all of the latter part of last week but more important things kept getting in the way.

The 5K Plano Pacers prediction run results were posted last Wednesday. Our times were decent but nowhere close to what we predicted. It's obvious from the results that I wasn't trying too hard to make it a fast 5k.

Friday evening started out delightfully once I left work. The clouds in the sky and the gray cover was a sight to behold.

I was quite chipper and well rested for early Saturday run but the weather was humid as heck and I was tiring out quickly during the first half of the 14 miler. We did a couple of Winsted hill repeats and that was actually quite the "refresher" or shall I say "shocker" my legs needed. I had decent bit of energy left after that but into the 10th mile I was feeling it! The dreaded, how much longer feeling.
I didn't have any GU for this particular run and maybe that contributed to the low energy levels. Into the 10.5 mile or so down an uphill Brachfield Street and back onto the lake, the rain started coming down harder and that's when things started to turn around for me. I got my energy back and made a recovery out of nowhere. What helped was running with an energetic group of runners by my side, one in particular who challenged me to sprint to the upcoming water stop! Wow, that really got my adrenaline pumping. I beat her by just a hair. Overall, great run! Can't wait for TDF.

The rest of Saturday was just great! We did a group lunch for our Red 2 group at Panera and mmm the breakfast sandwich and soup was too good. It was nice to get the whole group together and the rainy weather just made the gathering that much more enjoyable.

I drove home in the rain. It started pouring when we left Panera but it was just the most beautiful overcast day. There were periods of breaks in the sky for some sky light. Gorgeous! I went home to relax for a bit but I had other things on the agenda.

I had to gear up for next Sat and I had a running skirt in mind. I called around and finally ended up at Luke's that afternoon in the market for a Nike running skirt. The ladies in the Luke's womens apparel dept are ever so helpful. I was just so happy that they had what I wanted in the color and size I liked. I am pretty proud of my purchase. I brought an old friend to Luke's with me and then I actually got him to go have a late lunch at Cosmic Cafe on Oak Lawn. It was pretty good but I was stuffed from the somosas and the rest of the very healthy veggie meal.

The rest of the day was unproductive but that's kind of exactly what I had planned for a Saturday.
Sunday was productive. I had a homework assignment due in Financial Accounting and it got accomplished. It was a bright and sunny day and I took a long nap in the middle of the day. Lovely.

Fun 5K and then 2 miles of more fun

I went out to Plano last evening to run a fun 5k with Bianca sponsored by the Plano Pacers.
It was a fun race, one of those where you have to predict your finish time with the course around part of the Chisholm Trail.
We ran and finished around 2 minutes faster than our predicted time of 31:46. Bianca was only 24 seconds behind me. My first race in months and month. It definietly got the adrenaline kicking!
I was happy with the results and the test run in the running skirt. The skirt gets me sweating more than running shorts would, but it's too cute to worry about now.

The race was fun and then we ran another 2 around the neighborhood.
The fun wasn't quite over quite yet.
After hanging with Mari, D&B; I decided to meet Jason and company at Martini Park at Legacy.
I had no idea my friend Jason had singing talents. He definietly got an ovation from the crowd. He sang Walking in Memphis and I think he sounded better than I've heard that song sung by any other artist.

I had a fun night and got some good running in. It's only Wednesday and the week is flying!
Excited that I get to do another 5 mile at the trail closer to home this evening!

Finally Monday evening!

The Financial Analysis midterm went pretty well. I was excited and nervous and ready to get it over with. I chatted with a guy in class as I got there about 30 mins ahead of test time. Who says you can't learn much right before an exam. I clarified all the confusion I had about what to record in an income statement. Whew! It actually appeared on the exam.

Now that I'm caught up in this course, I have the Info Systems course to get caught up in. Here is something amazing I learned in class tonight. Debt is good for corporations because it helps build leverage. I'll keep that in mind. Class was long and I was hungry. He covered all new stuff, mostly 10 thousand different ratios about how to assess financial statements. Funnest part was when he used calculus to explain the Price to Earnings ratio and physics to explain leverage. He's a cool dude!

I'm exhausted but its hard to go right to bed after coming home from the 4 hour class. I wonder if it rained out this evening while I was in class. I forgot to close the sunroof of my car and my seats got wet. :( and I missed a nice evening of running.

Tomorrow better be a nice day.

100 days left in marathon training

Yes, 100 days left in the White Rock marathon training program and roughly 100 days until marathon day. Maybe I should start following the training schedule? :) I was having this discussion with the other pace leader of our group around the end of the first mile yesterday. It was still dark out for the first 2 or more miles.

As we were chatting, I was realizing that I have to figure out how to run more times during the week. I've only been putting in 2 or 3 runs during the week and I should be running 4 to 5 times. I have a marathon goal finish time and that I probably should add another day of running in my weekday routine. Althought I like to think optimistic, I'm more of a realist. It doesn't bother me that I do what I can and I try hard for the most part. I like the schedule but I take a very liberal approach to it. Liberal meaning I don't usually even look at it except to see what's happening for Saturday run. I follow my mood during the week and usually end up doing 2 or 3 runs during the week. Lately, time has been a factor.

I just started gradudate school. Yippe! I'm a graduate student and so with working full-time and marathon training, the free-time is looking a bit sparse.
My first mid-term exam of this semester is tomorrow in the Financial Accounting course. So far, I think I know what's going on. I'm not that lost :)
5 chapters of accounting reading had to be crammed in the last few days since I just recieved my textbooks in the mail.

Ok, back to running. I shopped at Target today and was somehow inspired to buy a running skirt. I bought a bright yellow sports bra that I just had to have. It was on sale, $12! I'm pretty excited about the new running gear. I wore the running skirt while lounging around the apt today and then I wore it out to run errands. It's quite comfy.

Anyhow, I really need to be studying instead of blogging but I'm so sick of reading and doing review problems.
I'm ready for tomorrow evening!
