Island fever?

I skipped the footwear for this run on the island of San Pedro on the north coast of Belize. Running barefoot in the sand was relaxing. Not a care in the world except wondering is it possible to get island fever? The sun shone on us every day. That must be more typical of island life.

The elevation didn't change on this run and encountered some footpaths. I wish there were more cliffs and rocky terrain. Some of the footpaths ran over trash and seaweed, spongy stuff. Eeek, I screamed out loud a little when I saw the first few creepy crawlers.

The best part is drinking coconut water. The palm tree of life.

So here is a little of what I've been listening to lately.

I must hand it to DJ Colette for fully utilizing her beauty and brains to capitalize in her market.
I'll even go so far as to say I don't think she is a genius or gifted artist. She markets it well and the looks certainly help. Yea, she is pretty hot.

So am I going to go spend the $9.99 on the mp3? I already have. My only real criticism to the Hypnotized album is that the tracks lack range in styles and shall I add- suffers in originality. Still I give her props. She got me to buy her album.

It's great music for chilling though. I enjoy her smooth vocals and how well they blend with funky jazz tones. It's mellow house music. Two of my favorite tracks are 'A little more' and Hypnotized'. I recommend checking it out.

The Eiffel Tower. It's just a pointed structure.

It's just a shame I wasn't born a Parisian.

This one is looking down the elevator shaft of the tower. It's an old-fashioned hydraulic lift.

This is my favorite one.
And another one..

Mead and Miso

I know I've been eating some strange foods lately. The mead wine is homemade, aged over a month. I helped in the bottling process so it was a labor of love. :)

Now for the taste test...kinda yeasty after-taste, fruity, almost like Cali Champagne but not as bubbly or light. A mix between beer and wine.

The miso soup...not as spicy as I can handle, but steamy and sourish. I have this new habit of putting cilantro in everything.

I provided my contribution by dropping some in the soup. :) Mmm...was an interesting dinner.

This song by The All American Rejects is pretty catchy. Um, I admit, never been a big fan of this rejected American band that sound like they're British. This song though, makes me smile when I hear it.

I heard it on the radio again today and the wildflowers on the side of the freeway seemed to be dancing to the windy rhythms of this song. It felt like I was in a VW commercial. Uh yea, that was years ago.
