Island fever?

I skipped the footwear for this run on the island of San Pedro on the north coast of Belize. Running barefoot in the sand was relaxing. Not a care in the world except wondering is it possible to get island fever? The sun shone on us every day. That must be more typical of island life.

The elevation didn't change on this run and encountered some footpaths. I wish there were more cliffs and rocky terrain. Some of the footpaths ran over trash and seaweed, spongy stuff. Eeek, I screamed out loud a little when I saw the first few creepy crawlers.

The best part is drinking coconut water. The palm tree of life.

Lucky you...once I walked bare foot in my city, it was so cool. It is said bare foot walking in the morning removes static charges from the body and makes one healthy.
